Went to Mother’s Best with Megan for lunch. I had the lunch special chicken sandwich which was fried chicken tenders on “Georgia toast” (Texas toast) with fries. It was good! Kind of like an indie Zaxby’s.

I last minute signed up for the Refuge Coffee Run.
I finished my most recent 5k in 23:14 at 73°F which is a VDOT of 42.9. Tomorrow’s race temp is supposed to be 67°F which would be a VDOT equivalent of 23:01 or 7:24/mi average pace.
I’m going to aim for 7:30 for the first mile, and then pick up the pace each subsequent mile.
One of the difficult lessons we have learned is that you cannot depend upon American institutions to function without pressure. Any real change in the status quo depends on continued creative action to sharpen the conscience of the nation and establish a climate in which even the most recalcitrant elements are forced to admit that change is necessary.

Got all the plants in the ground and drip irrigation in place, but finished after dark. Pictures hopefully tomorrow!
We went to Rreal Tacos in Decatur for our family dinner out. It was very lively, a completely different vibe from the previous tenant, ponko chicken. I got a costra taco and a picanha taco. The costra taco is wrapped in griddled cheese and then in a tortilla. I know of the picanha cut of beef, but I don’t think I’ve ever had it, so that was of interest to me. They were both good, but the picanha was chewier than I prefer.
