Day two of our spring break trip took us to the Western North Carolina Nature Center, Asheville Retrocade, and the River Arts District and Fresh West Pizza for dinner.
Since Brainwave announced, I’ve had the strongest feeling that it was Inner Voice’s own pizza operation. Something about the branding similarities and how there was no previous internet knowledge of it.
Well, it is! I searched for “brainwave pizza decatur business license” and came across this memorandum which includes “Inner Voice Brewing started their own food service, Brainwave Pizza…”
Went to Brainwave Pizza Saturday. It was good! Indistinguishable, to us, from Glide, the previous Inner Voice pizza window operator before opening their own spot down the street.
I’ve been keeping a list of restaurants to try for a while now in Notes app. A friend expressed interest in the list, so I figured I’d keep up with it publicly.
With house-fermented dough, a focus on fresh ingredients, and beer that’s brewed feet away, Brainwave Pizza is a seamless extension of Inner Voice’s ethos—simple, intentional, and seriously satisfying.
Inner Voice is one of my favorite breweries, and Glide’s pizza window was great to have there. I’m looking forward to trying Brainwave.
